November Update

The Vipers had a strong showing in November. The organization tallied 23 wins, 6 ties, and a few losses. Below are the tournaments our teams played in throughout the month:

U13-1 Red: Lake Placid Tournament

The team took Silver, falling short to the high-powered Devilettes. Solid defense all weekend from Vera Conley, Maeve Grabert, Lauren Sullivan, and Lanie Dolph. 1st-year Viper Riley Nugent, Lexi Francis, and Emma Krawczyk all played amazing. Kiera Hegarty had multiple scoring opportunities throughout the tournament and our continued success is the goaltending. Emma Allard and Riley St Arnaud are 🔥!!! Amazing weekend and memories that will last a lifetime.

U12-1 Red: Wizards Tourney

Opportunity to compete against some of the best at the Wizards Thanksgiving tournament. Saturday night the girls came in refreshed and hungry for payback against the NJ Colonials who took us down at the RI Sting Tournament. Buzzer to Buzzer it was a beautiful hard-fought hockey game. Lauren O’Brien recorded a hat-trick, scoring two on the same shift! The energy on and off the ice was outstanding. A lot of positive play, and total team defense remains strong. Great scoring production from Anne Burnham (4), Lauren O’Brien (3) and Kaylee Dinkel (3). Stick taps to Mackenzie Dunnet and Hayden Reardon for filling in and playing great for the last two games.

U14-1 Red: Eagles Turkey Revenge Tourney

U16-1 Red: U16 tier 1 State tournament

The U16 Tier 1 team had a great weekend at the Massachusetts State tournament with first-round wins over the Bay State Breakers and Minuteman Flames earning them a spot in the quarter-finals out of the 9th seed position. The girls fell 3-0 to eventual finalist Mass Spitfires. The game featured spectacular goaltending from Cecelia Riiff and Lydia Barnes and an absolutely tremendous team defensive effort. The courage, grit, determination, and character they displayed against a loaded Spitfires team (ranked 5th in the country) was off the charts. Fantastic finish to a season in which our girls played against some of the top teams in the nation.

U19-2 White: U19 State tournament

The 19-2 team had an amazing undefeated fall season winning every league game and came in first place at the Rhode Island Sting tournament for the U19 division. The girls made it straight through to the State Tournament and went 1-2-0 while at States. Such an amazing group of girls! Good luck with high school hockey season just around the corner!

Looking forward to another strong performance from the Vipers organization as we enter the start of the Winter schedule! #GoVipersGo
