Season Kickoff
Welcome Back, Vipers Family!
The wait is over—Vipers hockey is back! After a long offseason filled with anticipation, our teams are officially hitting the ice for another action-packed year. The energy is already buzzing at the rink, and we couldn’t be more excited to see our players sharpening their skills, building friendships, and proudly wearing the Vipers jersey.
This season promises to be one of our best yet. With returning players ready to step up and new faces joining the Vipers family, the stage is set for growth, competition, and fun both on and off the ice.
Season Kickoff: Games Are Underway!
Our first league games are in motion, and the players are showing incredible effort right out of the gate. Coaches are already reporting great hustle, teamwork, and strong energy from the bench to the ice.
First Off-Ice Training Session Recap
We officially kicked off off-ice training on Tuesday, September 9th, and the response has been fantastic! Athletes got a chance to work on conditioning, agility, and strength while bonding with their teammates. Off-ice development is a cornerstone of becoming a complete hockey player, and it was inspiring to see so many players pushing themselves and encouraging one another.
A big thank-you to Coach Ryan, who brings energy, expertise, and a clear plan to help the girls improve their athletic performance in ways that directly translate to the ice.
Friday Night Skills: Building the Foundation
Another exciting addition to the start of our season: Friday Night Skills sessions are underway! These specialized practices give players extra time to fine-tune skating, shooting, stickhandling, and positioning with focused instruction.
The atmosphere on Friday nights is electric—everyone working hard, laughing, and competing in drills that are both fun and challenging.
We’d also like to give a special thank-you to former Viper and Boston College Women’s Hockey standout, Olivia Finocchiaro, who joined us as a guest coach during a recent session. Having Olivia on the ice was an incredible opportunity for our players to learn from someone who’s excelled at the next level. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and love for the game truly inspired the girls and reminded everyone what’s possible with hard work and dedication.
Looking Ahead
The first weeks of the season have already set the tone: hard work, team spirit, and plenty of smiles. We can’t wait to see how each team grows as the games continue. Remember to support each other, bring the energy to the rink, and most of all—enjoy the ride.
