September Update
The Vipers kicked off September with intensity, resilience, and plenty of goals across all age groups. From emotional moments that defined the meaning of “We not Me” to thrilling last-minute winners, the program continues to grow stronger as both teammates and family. Every team showed grit and promise—here’s how the first month went…
U10-1 Red
The U10 squad opened with a statement 6–2 win over the Generals, powered by clutch goaltending and highlight-reel goals from Giordano, Lindquist, Lee, and Gill. They followed up with a memorable 2–0 shutout against Worcester, where Avery Dunnett’s bravery in net inspired everyone. They capped the month with a split weekend—beating the Terriers 5–2 before falling narrowly to the Wizards—showing chemistry, speed, and an unbreakable bond.
U12-1 Red
Though opening weekend brought tough losses, the team found its competitive spark in a close battle with the Spitfires, where Nora Herbert netted the first goal of the season. Defensive play and goaltending improved dramatically, highlighted by Halle Howell’s steady performances that kept the Spitfires in check across multiple games. September ended with their first league point in a 0–0 tie, showing strong progress against a top opponent.
U12 Major-2 White
The squad faced some early challenges against strong competition, battling hard but dropping to the Wizards, Terriers, and Eagles. Despite the losses, the players continue to adjust and grow into their team identity. Each weekend is building blocks toward stronger play down the stretch.
U12 Minor-2 Blue
This group showed heart and resilience with highlight moments throughout the month. Olivia McCarthy notched her first goal of the season, while Brenna Donaghey and Brooklyn Goodman added scoring punch. Their biggest triumph came with a last-second 6–5 win over the Breakers, sealed by Avery Boyle’s clutch goal with 7.5 seconds left.
U13-1 Red
The U13-1s balanced grit and emotion, playing in honor of Coach Scott Dunnett and earning big results. Jenna O’Donnell and Scarlett Hollien powered early scoring, while Rylan Blake and Brooke Barton came up clutch in a thrilling 3–2 win over the Polar Bears. They capped the month with a strong 5–3 victory over the Wildcats, proving they’re a contender every weekend.
U13-2 White
The team is adjusting well to the jump in competition, playing tight games and steadily closing the gap against opponents. A highlight came with their first win of the season, a 7–3 victory over Hanover Wild after a strong all-around performance. The group’s work ethic continues to build momentum, making each game more competitive.
U14-1 Red
The 14-1s continue to impress with stifling defense and balanced scoring. Wins over the Blazers, Generals, and Flames showcased strong goaltending from Bridget Mahon and Joy Tremblay, as well as offensive contributions from Doyle, Cleary, Burnham, and Black. Their disciplined, team-first style has carried them to a hot start.
U14-2 White
The squad fought through some tough early matchups, falling to the Wizards and Eagles. A bright spot came with a dominant 6–0 win over Assabet, where the team showed just how dangerous they can be when firing on all cylinders. Each weekend has been a chance to refine their game and build confidence.
U16-1 Red
The U16-1s had a mixed month, opening with a gritty 1–1 tie against the Wizards before a strong 5–2 win over the Jr. Eagles. They also showed resilience despite a 3–0 loss to the Islanders. With their depth and structure, this team is poised for a strong October.
U16-2 White
One of the hottest Vipers teams this September, the U16-2s grabbed wins over Seacoast, West MA Liberty, and CT Northern Lights. Aubrey Kelleher and Mia Basile were unstoppable offensively, both registering hat tricks, while standout goaltending from Rizzuto and Cahill gave the team confidence. Their balanced scoring and defensive strength make them a powerhouse.
U19-1 Red
The U19-1s battled hard through tight contests, earning a 0–0 shutout tie against the Wings thanks to stellar goaltending from Avery Sico and Izzy Silva. Though they dropped close games to the Jr. Eagles and Wildcats, the effort was strong and competitive throughout. With steady play, they’re set for a breakthrough win soon.
U19-2 White
The U19-2s showed flashes of brilliance despite some early setbacks. Molly Boydin led the scoring with goals in multiple games, while strong defensive efforts came from Penny, Van Horn, and Caterino. Their highlight came in a 2–1 win over the Breakers, where determination and hustle secured a much-deserved victory.
